Carolyn E. Mosby, Founder & Principal

Carolyn Mosby founded Cole Brown Strategies in 1997 and has spent almost 30 years building strategy for entertainers, executives, government leaders, and small businesses. She served 11 years as President and CEO of Mid-States Minority Supplier Development Council, where she led regional supplier development strategy across Central Illinois, Indiana, and Eastern Missouri, and also served as Interim President and CEO of the North Central Minority Supplier Development Council. She concurrently holds the Chief Operating Officer role at Engaging Solutions.

Carolyn has served as an executive across government, telecommunications, steel, natural gas, water, technology, and human services, including roles as head of public relations for a national entertainment and sports organization, Chief Marketing Officer for a global nonprofit, and Corporate Vice President. That range is what shapes the firm's approach: strategy that works because it has been tested inside the organizations it is built for.

Speaking & Storytelling

Carolyn speaks to audiences as large as 4,000 on women's empowerment and leadership, small business development, marketing and public relations, and family history and ancestral lineage. She is the author of Unflappable, which documents her first 40 years growing up in Gary, Indiana, and navigating loss, resilience, and reinvention.
